Asiwaju Prince Olatunji Olusoji Bags Honorary Doctorate at Vine University America
The prestigious Vine University America has conferred an Honorary Doctorate degree on Asiwaju Prince Olatunji Olusoji, recognizing his outstanding contributions to education and philanthropy in Nigeria.
During the acceptance speech, Asiwaju Olusoji dedicated his award to millions of young Nigerian children lacking access to quality education, families facing economic hardships, and communities striving for a better future.
Highlighting the dire state of education in Nigeria, Asiwaju Olusoji noted that over 20 million children are out of school, the highest figure globally.
He emphasized education’s importance in societal progress and urged government and private sector stakeholders to prioritize investment in this sector.
He also spoke about the Prince Olatunji Olusoji Foundation (PROOF), established in 2013 to provide educational opportunities for underprivileged children and support families in need.
As a gesture of commitment to education, Asiwaju Olusoji donated N100 million towards the Vine University Ayere project.
The event was attended by dignitaries, including a high-powered delegation from Kogi State representing Governor Usman Ododo and Paramount ruler of his community, Alayere of Ayere, Oba Olumodeji
