KANO STATE–The Kano State Government, under the leadership of His Excellency Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, has formally referred a series of public complaints against Islamic cleric Sheikh Lawan Triumph to the Kano State Shura Council for investigation and appropriate recommendations.

The move comes after the government received multiple petitions from prominent Islamic organizations and interfaith groups, expressing deep concern over comments made by Sheikh Lawan Triumph during a recent sermon in Kano. The organizations allege that the statements may have the potential to disrupt religious harmony and social cohesion in the state.

8. Multaqa Ahbab Alsufiyya

Acting on behalf of the government, the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Umar Farouk Ibrahim, directed that all the petitions be submitted to the State Shura Council for thorough review and advisory input.
