The Emir of Kazaure, His Royal Highness Alhaji Dr. Najib Hussaini Adamu, has called on traders in Jigawa State to fear God and refrain from increasing the prices of essential commodities, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.
The Emir made this appeal at a special gathering organized to welcome Ramadan, during which a paper titled “Modern Business Practices: Their Benefits and Challenges” was presented. The event was organized by the Late Ado Namagaji Centre in Kazaure and held at the Ibrahim Dantunku Hall.
The occasion also featured the graduation of 80 students who successfully completed their studies in Fiqhul Muyassar.
Expressing concern, the Emir lamented the hardship imposed on the public by some traders who exploit the Ramadan period by inflating prices, a time when compassion, fairness, and social responsibility are most needed. He reminded traders of the severe consequences prescribed in Islam for those who oppress others through dishonesty and injustice, particularly in the Hereafter.
He commended the Late Ado Namagaji Centre for organizing the Ramadan reception and prayed for Allah to accept the acts of worship of Muslims during the sacred month. The Emir also praised the Jigawa State Government for its ongoing developmental projects across the state.
In his remarks, the Chairman of Kazaure Local Government Area, Mansur Usman Dabuwa, reaffirmed the council’s commitment to prioritizing education as a foundation for building a morally upright society. He applauded the Ado Namagaji Centre for its contributions to education and moral training and assured continued support from the local government.
The Guest Lecturer, Dr. Musa Adamu, described the centre as outstanding in both learning and character development, pledging a donation of one million naira to motivate teachers and strengthen the institution.
Similarly, the representative of the Jigawa State Governor announced a donation of two million naira to support teaching and learning activities at the school.
The event featured several scholarly presentations by Islamic clerics, including Malam Jamilu Usman, who spoke on modern business practices from an Islamic perspective, and Malam Ali Aliyu Daura, who presented a paper titled “Five Before Five.”
The programme concluded with the Emir of Kazaure presenting certificates to the graduating Fiqhul Muyassar students and offering prayers for their success.
The event was attended by several dignitaries, including the Majority Leader of the Jigawa State House of Assembly and the member representing Roni Local Government, Dr. Mas’ud Adamu, Magajin Malam, and other prominent guests from within and outside Kazaure Local Government
