KDU is a community development association, not for any political party – Prince Ibinaiye
A chieftain of the main opposition of the People’s Democratic Party in Kabba-Bunu local government area, Prince Elijah Ibinaiye aka Erukutu of Oweland has expressed his dissatisfaction with the views and submission of the Kabba Development Union (KDU) when they paid thank you visit to Governor Yahaya Bello on the recently established Kogi State University, Kabba in Government House yesterday
He disclosed his displeasure through a press statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen in Lokoja.
According to him, he want the Kabba Development Union to know that they are not a political party rather they should stay within their mandate as a development association hence they should reframe themselves and remain apolitical in their conduct.
He said despite he is a PDP stakeholder, as a bonafide son of the community, he is also a member of KDU Presidential Council, hence his own and many others right of political association within the community should be respected, hence it is too heavy a statement that Kabba stakeholders pledged maximum support for APC candidate.
He pointed out that he has nothing against the establishment of the university, but the visit should have stop at thank you visit rather than the adoption of Ododo as a candidate, stressing that the PDP also have a credible candidate that possess cognate experiences to govern the state appropriately.
