OMODARA FACILITATES MARKET STALLS FOR OKE-OFFIN AND OFERE COMMUNITY
….visits site for immediate take-off
The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) has assessed some communities in Bunuland.
The Assessment exercise was the outcome of the recent engagement between Cdr. Jerry Omodara, the State Security Adviser, Kogi State, and the IFAD at the organization’s headquarters in Lokoja.
Recalled that Cdr. Jerry Omodara approached the IFAD with a request seeking for additional lockup stalls for some community markets in Bunuland, as a way of easing stress on marketers and enhancing the beauty of the markets.
The Team (International Fund for Agricultural Development) has earlier this week granted an approval of additional 10-lockup stalls for Oke-Offin and Ofere Community markets respectively.
This development has therefore brought smile to the faces of residents in the two communities, as Cdr. Omodara alongside the delegation of the Team ably led by her State Coordinator, Dr. (Mrs) Stella Adejoh to assess the sites for immediate take-off.
During the site assessment today, Cdr. Jerry Omodara expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the Team for their timely approval, stressing that the communities will give all necessary supports and corporation to the team to enable them carry out their duty effectively.
Also, the Oluwoa of Oke-Offin, HRH Oba James Ayinmode, heartily welcomed the team, said he is much happy and thrilled with the new development.
He speak further to describe Cdr. Omodara as a community development enthusiast whose developmental strides is unbeatable and incomparable. He prayed for continuous good health and longevity for the security expert.
Dr. (Mrs) Adejoh in her remarks, commended the efforts of Cdr. Omodara for his active involvement and continuous reminder in ensuring the approval of the project, stating that she’s much impressed with the turnout of the people and therefore said that IFAD will consider approving extension of the construction of toilets and borehole alongside the stalls. She said the construction will commence latest next week.
