Kogi ’23: Ajaka Agog for Ododo as APC Campaign Train Storms Kogi East

The people of Ajaka, Igalamela/Odolu Local Government Area yesterday made a definitive statement on their decision to support the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman (OAU) and his Deputy, Comrade Joel Oyibo Salifu (JOS) for November 11th governorship election.
This is as hundreds of supporters of the candidate of the governing All Progressives Congress in Kogi State, Alh Ododo Ahmed Usman and his Deputy Comr Joel Oyibo Salifu trooped out in a road walk to galvanize support for the APC and its candidate.
Tagged as One-Million-Man Road Walk for Ododo/Oyibo, the programme which was unprecedented in the history of Ajaka, Igala Mela/Odolu Local Government ended up being a mega rally that witnessed a massive turnout of party supporters who described those riding on the horse of ethnic agenda as enemies of the state.
While expressing confidence in Alhaji Ododo’s ability to consolidate the gains of the current New Direction administration, the supporters vowed to go into the hinterlands to enlighten the people on the need to have the duo of Alhaji Ododo and Comrade Joel succeed Governor Yahaya Bello.
The participants did not only demonstrated their relevance at the grassroots, but they also exhibited the desire to evolve a united and prosperous Kogi State, hence condemning in totality the claim of those who said they were in absolute control of Igalaland.
Present at the road walk were Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Of Local Government And Chieftaincy Affairs, Hajiya Habiba who is the brain behind the outing. She admonished the people to continue to intensify their support for Alh Usman Ododo. She reiterated that Alh Ododo will build more on the numerous achievements of Governor Yahaya Bello and enhance the unity of purpose that binds all the districts that make up the state.
The Rector Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman, Elder Friday Makama Former House Of Assembly Member representing Igalamela/Odolu Constituency who doubles as an appointee of the Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello led administration, the Igala Mela/Odolu Local Government Chairman, Hon. Onoja James Omachonu, among other notable leaders who spoke at the rally described Alh Usman Ododo as a round peg in a round hole, noting that he has grown properly under the mentorship of Gov Bello, hence he is unequivocally the most sellable candidate amongst several others promoting regional politics.
Fancy Media Team similarly admonished the general public to heed the patriotic call of the APC and Kogi State stakeholders to ensure victory for Alhaji Ododo for credible leadership, just as it noted with excitement that the regressive sectional agenda of the opposition is obviously dwindling on a daily basis.
