Kogi Assembly Member, Emmanuel Obaro, Bags International Honorary Doctorate Degree, Dedicates Award to Constituents

The member representing Yagba East State Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Lokoja, Hon Prince Obaro Emmanuel, has been bestowed with an international honorary doctorate degree by the Chartered Institute of Public Resources Management and Politics in Ghana, West Africa.

The award was presented at an elaborate ceremony held in Abuja by the Country Director and  Executive Director, Logistics and Corporate Affairs of the Institute, Dr. Yinka Olateju and  Alhaji (Dr.) Abdulazeez Salawu, respectively.

The Institute recognizes Obaro’s dedication, integrity, and outstanding contributions to his field and beyond, citing his strong work ethics and commitment to serving others.

As the State representative for Yagba East constituency at the Kogi State Assembly, Obaro has made significant impacts in his community through various philanthropic acts, including feeding the hungry, repairing boreholes, and supporting students’ education and support to the security agencies by donating vehicles and motorcycles thereby putting smiles on the faces of his constituents.

His efforts have been recognized as a testament to his dedication to serving others.

The institute praised Obaro’s strong work ethics, honesty, and commitment to serving others, citing him as a shining example of ethical leadership and responsible public service, whose dedication to his constituents is truly commendable.

His approach to leadership has made a lasting impact in Yagba East and beyond.

His induction into the 2025 Hall of Fame is a testament to his unwavering commitment to excellence.

The highly elated newly honored professional fellowship doctor, Emmanuel Obaro, expressed his heartfelt gratitude, stating that he was overwhelmed by the recognition.

He acknowledged that he never knew his efforts were being noticed, saying, “I never knew that people are watching me of the little I was doing for my constituents and state at large.”

He acknowledged the magnanimity of the people of Yagba East who elected him, providing him the opportunity to showcase his talent and ability to the world.

He promised not to let them down, vowing to continue serving with dedication and integrity.

He also used the opportunity to express his gratitude to the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Usman Ododo, for creating an enabling environment that allowed him to work without interference, making his role as the people’s representative easier.

He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting Governor Usman Ododo’s re-election bid and President Bola Tinubu’s leadership, urging his constituents to rally behind the state and federal governments in their efforts to address insecurity in the area.

He also expressed gratitude to former Governor Yahaya Bello for trusting him and granting him the party ticket in 2023, pledging his continued loyalty to the party leadership.

He assured that he will continue to work tirelessly for the development of Yagba East, dedicating the award to the people of the constituency as a symbol of his commitment to serving them.
