Hon. Emmanuel Obaro, the Member representing Yagba East Constituency at the Kogi State House of Assembly, has commissioned several projects aimed at boosting security, empowering women, and improving local infrastructure.
The projects include patrol vehicles and motorcycles for security agencies, lock-up shops at Itedo Makutu, cash support grants for market women, classroom renovations at Community Secondary School, Isanlu, and drainage construction in flood-prone areas.
At the ceremony, Hon. Obaro said the initiatives were part of his vision for people-centered governance, focusing on economic empowerment, education, and community security.
“Today’s event is not just a ceremony; it’s a statement of commitment, responsibility, and people-centered governance,” he said.
The lock-up shops will provide traders with safe business spaces, while cash grants will help market women expand their businesses and support their families.
“This grant is not a handout; it’s a hand-up, an opportunity for women to grow their businesses and strengthen our local economy,” Hon. Obaro said.
The projects have been welcomed by the community, with the Oluagba of Isanlu Makutu, Oba Ayo, praising Hon. Obaro for his efforts.
“These projects touch the very lives of our people,” Oba Ayo said.
The event was attended by government officials, traditional rulers, and community members, who commended Hon. Obaro for his inclusive leadership and efforts to improve the welfare and security of Yagba East Constituency.
