The Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Aliyu Umar Yusuf has on Tuesday, received the leadership and members of Hunters Warriors from Oworo East of Lokoja Local Government Area on a congratulatory visit.

Receiving the group in Lokoja, the speaker acknowledged their support during his election, saying that they were part of the groups that contributed time and effort towards his success, saying that they provided security to his campaign team during the electioneering campaigns.

He therefore promised to work closely with the member of the National Assembly representing Lokoja/Kogi (Kotonkarfe) Federal Constituency, Hon Danladi Suleiman Aguye and other stakeholders to reach out to the group even as he further promised to fulfill one of their requests of appointing one of their members as a Special Adviser on Security.

Earlier in his address, the leader of the group, Suleiman Abubakar said the purpose of their visit was, among other things, to congratulate Rt Hon Umar on his emergence as the speaker, stressing that they were glad because he is the right man to lead the 8th Kogi State House of Assembly in view of his leadership qualities.

While describing the speaker as a temperate, easy-going, passionate and humane leader, Abubakar prayed Allah to guide the speaker in piloting the affairs of the legislative arm in the state.

Signed;
Yabagi Mohammed,
Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Lokoja.
