Kogi Assembly Speaker Intervenes on Kabawa-Unguwan-Kura Road Project
– Gov’t to mobilise contractor to site this week
Consequent upon the intervention of the speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Aliyu Umar Yusuf on the need to construct the Kabawa-Unguwan-Kura Road project, the state government has agreed to mobilise contractors to site.
This is contained in a press statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the speaker, Yabagi Mohammed.
The Speaker was on Monday at the area with the member representing Lokoja I State Constituency, Hon Bin-Ebaiya Shehu Tijjani and the Chairman of the Local Government Area, Hon Hon Muhammed Dan’Asabe Muhammed.
Speaking on the importance of the road, the speaker said as a son of the traditional area, he understands the need for the construction of such roads to make life meaningful for the citizens.
He noted that he would not rest until the project was done, noting that beyond politics, such projects were capable of ensuring facelift for the community.
Rt Hon Umar, who expressed belief in the current administration of Governor Yahaya Bello to ensure equitable distribution of development to all parts of the state, urged the people of Kogi State to continue to support the APC to ensure positive turnaround at all times.
