Kogi Assembly Speaker Receives Former Principal Officers

The Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Aliyu Umar Yusuf, on Monday 24th July 2023, received former principal officers of the Assembly on a visit at his lodge.
While thanking them for the visit, the speaker stressed his commitment towards working for the progress of the state and protection of the arm of government as an institution.
Rt Hon Yusuf who urged them to allow their doors to remain open for him, acknowledged their roles as elder statesmen, experienced political heavyweights and community leaders whose words of advice and and guidance he would seek from time to time.
Earlier in their separate speeches, the former principal officers took turns to congratulate the speaker on his emergence, and pledged their preparedness to work with and guide him on the affairs of the office.
