The recognition acknowledges Hon. Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi commitment, consistent support and sacrifices towards the advancement of the Christian community, particularly his contributions to initiatives aimed at strengthening the Church, promoting the Christian faith and fostering harmonious relationships among individuals and communities.

According to the organisers, the honour reflects his contributions to religious development, humanitarian service and the promotion of values that encourage unity, compassion and collective progress.

The award also underscores the importance of purposeful engagement between government officials, religious institutions and community stakeholders in advancing initiatives that promote peaceful coexistence, social cohesion and sustainable development.

Hon. Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi recognition came as CAN Kogi State Chapter celebrated its golden jubilee, an important milestone that provided an opportunity to reflect on the association’s journey, achievements and enduring role in promoting Christian unity and contributing to national development.

The anniversary celebration also offered a platform to recognise individuals whose support and contributions have helped advance the interests of the Church and strengthen its engagement with the wider society.

As Special Adviser to the Kogi State Governor on Energy Matters, Hon. Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi participates in government and stakeholder engagements relating to development issues across the state. He also serves as Chairman of the Forum of Special Advisers to the Governor, a position that places him within the administration’s broader framework for coordination and engagement.

The Humanitarian Service Award highlights the significance of service beyond official responsibilities, particularly the contributions of individuals who support religious institutions, encourage peaceful coexistence and promote the welfare of their communities.

For Hon. Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi, the honour represents recognition by the Christian Association of Nigeria, Kogi State Chapter, of his support for the Church, propagation of the Christian faith, peacebuilding and community development.

The presentation formed part of the highlights of CAN’s 50th-anniversary celebration, reinforcing the association’s commitment to recognising humanitarian contributions and encouraging individuals and institutions to sustain efforts towards religious harmony, social development and peaceful coexistence.

The recognition further emphasises the need for continued collaboration among government officials, religious leaders, traditional institutions and community stakeholders in building a more peaceful, united and prosperous Kogi State.
