Kogi Deputy Gov Receives Holley Memorial Hospital MGT, Pledges Support For Healthcare, Nursing Education

The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Comrade Joel Salifu, has assured the management of Holley Memorial Hospital and the United Evangelical Church (UEC) College of Nursing Sciences, Ochadamu, that their requests for government intervention will receive due attention.
The Deputy Governor gave the assurance when the management of the two institutions, led by Rev’d Noah Okolo Attah, paid him a courtesy visit on Friday at his residence in Ejule, Ofu Local Government Area.
Comrade Joel Salifu acknowledged the importance of the requests, noting that a good access road and adequate healthcare personnel are essential for effective healthcare delivery, nursing education and the wellbeing of the people.
He assured the delegation that the requests would be given the necessary consideration and followed up through his principal, the appropriate government channels, in line with the priorities of the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, and available resources. He added that efforts are underway to link ochadamu to the planned Ejule Solar power project, which will light up the community and its environ.
The Deputy Governor commended the management for its contributions to healthcare delivery, nursing education and human capital development in Kogi State. He encouraged the institutions to sustain their commitment to service and continue partnering with government to improve the lives of the people.
Ealier, the delegation led by Rev Noah Attah, appealed for the rehabilitation of the access road linking the Umomi tarred road to the institutions and the secondment of healthcare personnel to strengthen medical services at the hospital, among other needs.
