Kogi East Suppressed Constituencies, Halims Triggers Stakeholders Engagement May 5

The Deputy House Leader, Federal House of Representatives, Rt Honorable Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali, Halims has announced that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC stakeholders engagement will commence on May 5 nationwide.

According to the federal lawmaker, the decision was with a view to restoring state Constituencies in Kogi East.

Kogi East consisted of Idah , Olamaboro, Ankpa , Bassa , Dekina , Omala, Ofu , Igalamela Odolu and Ibaji local government area.

Rt Honorable Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali Halims advised stakeholders to be fully involved in the forthcoming exercise to determine the measure of redress been proposed by INEC.

“In continuation of my motion for the restoration of suppressed State Constituencies in Kogi East, INEC Nigeria have scheduled 5th May for a Nationwide Stakeholders engagement and I encourage stakeholders to participate massively.”

 

“My motion, available in the link above, is another justification that all we have done and shall continue to do are ultimately for the greater good of Igala/Bassa Land for history postdates politics and every privilege is an opportunity to decide which side of his we will want to be.”
