Kogi Education Commissioner Says Gov. Ododo fully committed on the trajectory of safety of lives, Visits FUL Students in Felele

The administration of Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo says it is fully committed on the trajectory of the safety of lives and properties from what it inherited from the former administration of Gov. Yahaya Bello.

The Kogi State Commissioner For Education, Hon. Wemi Jones gave the assurances when he visited some students lodge in Felele occupied by students of Federal University Lokoja, recently attacked by some hoodlums for an on the spot assessment.

Hon. Wemi Jones said Kogi State prides itself as one with the best security architecture in the country and as the most secured and peaceful State in Nigeria, said the sad episode of the weekend will never repeat itself again

The Commissioner expressed sadness that the incidence ever happened, assured that the pepatrators of the heinous crime will be brought to book.

He called on the Students not to allow the sad incidence affect their psychic and studies, promising more efforts in securing the students.

Earlier in his remarks, the Caretaker Chairman, Lokoja LGA, Comr. Abdullahi Adamu, said the Local Government security apparatus has swang into action and is on top of the matter, assured that this will be the last that such occurrence will ever occur.

He described security as everybody’s business, said the Local Government is working with the owners of the lodges to provide water tight security, said the security agencies of the Local Government has distributed emergency numbers for quick response, assured that no stone would be left unturned in unravelling the pepatrators of the crime.
