Security: Joint Security Team Arrests Six in Lokoja
The Joint Security Team comprising men of the KSVS, community vigilante groups, hunters and other security agents commissioned by the Lokoja Local Government Caretaker Transition Committee Chairman, Comrade Abdullahi Adamu is the wake of the security breaches in Sarkin Noma, Felele and other a suburbs of Lokoja is beginning to yield positive fruits following the arrest of six suspects on Thursday morning.
The suspects who are still under investigation were paraded this morning having been picked from different areas in the early hours of Thursday by the patrol teams.
One of the suspects, Abbas Salisu, Male, confessed to have stolen over 30 phones in Adankolo and Felele respectively.
While the onslaught on the criminals continues, the Lokoja Local Government Transition Committee Chairman has assured the residents of the affected communities that the Kogi State Government will not renege on her promise to ensure their safety.
Relative calm has returned to the Sarkin Noma, Poly Village, Felele Phase 1 & 2, Mawoji, Adaba and Crusher communities following the restrictions on movements between 10pm to 5am.
