Kogi State Governor, His Excellency Alh Ahmed Usman Ododo, has pledged to continue the ongoing clearance operation to defeat criminals across the state, while commending President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for sustaining security operations in Nigeria.

Governor Ododo made this commitment in Lokoja today 02-10-2024 during the Flag Off of the second batch of 100 operational vehicles to security agencies at the Government House in Lokoja.

The governor reiterated his administration’s dedication to enhancing the state’s security architecture, which has led to the distribution of hundreds of operational vehicles to security agencies. This effort aims to make Kogi State unbearable for criminals

In his words, “It is in fulfilment of our promise to ensure security that we are gathered Here for the distribution of operational Vehicles to Security Agencies to enhance their mobility and utilisation of them in our dear State” He said.

The State Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara (Retired) has also said the distribution of vehicles to security agencies is aimed at providing support to security officers in the ongoing clearance operations across the state, stressing that the gesture is consistent with the determination of the state government to ensure security of lives and property in every part of the state

Governor Ododo’s commitment to security has been acknowledged by the Kogi State Commissioner of Police, Bethrand Onuoha, who expressed gratitude for the governor’s efforts in securing lives and property.

The commissioner for Information and Communications, Honorable Kingsley Fanwo, also emphasized the state government’s resolve to protect its citizens.
