Kogi Govt Restates Commitment to the Transformation of COE Technical, Mopa

The Kogi State Government has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to the comprehensive transformation of the Kogi State College of Education (Technical) Mopa, Mopa Muro Local Government Area.

The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Comrade Joel Salifu, made the pledge while addressing the Provost and the management team of the College during a visit to his office in Lokoja on Monday.

A statement according to the Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Mr Unubi Emmanuel, the Deputy Governor emphasized that the State Government will continue to collaborate with the newly appointed Provost and the management to elevate the College to greater height.

Comrade Joel Salifu stressed that the vision of the Advance New Direction Government of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, is to make the state the educational hub of the nation. He urged the management of the college to support the new Provost in revitalizing the college’s fortunes, reiterating that the agenda of the current administration is centered around the principle of One Kogi State.

He highlighted that the Provost, Dr. Kebiru Ibrahim’s exceptional performance at the State College of Education Ankpa serves as his commendable track record, advising him to remain an ambassador for the state and to emulate the Governor’s exemplary leadership in the administration of the college. He described the Governor as a detribalized leader whose unparalleled leadership acumen has fostered unity among the people of the state.

The Deputy Governor acknowledged that his office is always open for consultations and calls for support, while extending his congratulations to the Provost on his appointment.

Earlier, the Provost of Kogi State College of Education (Technical) Mopa, Dr. Muhammed Kebiru Ibrahim, said that the purpose of his visit was to inform the Deputy Governor of his recent appointment and to reaffirm his dedication to the service of the state.

Dr. Kebiru pledged to improve the skills and experiences he acquired in his previous office, pledging to transform the narrative of the College of Education Technical Mopa, while appealing for increased support and advocacy for the college’s transformation.
