KOGI GUBER POLL: DR. OGBO URGES ELECTORATE TO VOTE APC FOR SUSTAINED DEVELOPMENT

…EDUCATES OLUBO-OJO COMMUNITY ON ODODO’S CANDIDACY

The Director of Research and Planning for the Kogi All Progressives Congress, APC Governorship Campaign Council, Dr. Salisu Usman Ogbo has charged the people of Ojoku Wards in Ankpa Local Government of the state to ensure the sustenance of development by voting massively for the candidate of APC, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman (OAU), and his running mate, Comrade Joel Oyibo Salifu (JOS) in the next Saturday’ gubernatorial election in the state.

Dr. Ogbo gave the admonition during a Ward-to-Ward rally held on November 4, 2023 across Ojoku Ward 001 – 004 led by critical stakeholders of the APC in Ankpa Local Government Area.

He reiterated President Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s interest in the revitalisation of Ajaokuta Steel, stating that such revitalisation would be feasible if the state government align itself with the central government through the emergence of Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman.

Dr. Ogbo further urged the people of the area to replicate the good deeds of Governor Yahaya Bello by voting overwhelmingly for the candidate of APC, reassuring them that Alhaji Ododo would consolidate on the achievements of his predecessor.

During the rallies, Ankpa Local Government Chairman, Hon. Ibrahim Abagwu urged the people to align with the Government at the center by coming out enmasse to vote impressively for Ododo/Joel come Saturday, November 11th, 2023.

The APC Ward chairman in the area assured the critical stakeholders of the party of their decision to deliver 100% votes for Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman (OAU) in the November 11 governorship election.

In another related development, Dr. Ogbo hailed the Coordinator, Kogi East Women Mobilization for Ododo/Joel ’23 Campaign Council, Hajiya Memunetu Eke Audu for engaging the women in a critical dialogue ahead of the governorship election in the state.

He noted that the women-friendly government of Alhaji Yahaya Bello has surpassed the much-talked-about 25% affirmative action of women inclusion in governance, saying that the incoming administration of Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman would do more.

The convener, Hajiya Eke, in her usual philanthropic gesture, distributed bales of wrappers, food items, among others to the women drawn from various Local Governments in Kogi East, assuring them that the incoming government of Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman would provide more job opportunities and empowerment to Kogi women.

They also visited Onu Ankpa palace were royal blessings were offered.

In the same vein, Dr. Ogbo conscientized the Olubo–Ojo Community in Ankpa township on the need to align themselves with the quest to sustain the good legacies of His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello through the election of the All Progressives Congress next week.

Dr. Ogbo opined that the APC campaign is issue-based, acknowledging Gov. Bello’s achievements in the areas of security, education, healthcare delivery and human capital development.

He added that as believers in the leadership philosophy of Governor Bello, he has deemed it a matter of patriotism to conscientize the people of the area while believing in the consolidation and continuity agenda of Alhaji Ododo for the sustainable development of Kogi State.

“The presence of sons of former Kogi State Governors, as well as opinion leaders from eastern extractions, indicate that the state is resolute in the quest to consolidate on the gains and achievements of His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello.

“I am putting my integrity as collateral that the incoming administration of Alhaji Ododo will prioritize human empowerment,” he averred.

He advised members of the community to disregard ethnic agendas, adding that it is never a mistake that the drafters of the Nigerian constitution didn’t toe the path of ethnicity and religion.

The chairman of the community, Alhaji Hassan Shuaibu, commended Dr. Ogbo’s philanthropic gestures and empowerment for the Ankpa community, assuring him of their unanimous decision to vote for Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman (OAU) in the November 11 governorship election.

To deepen Ododo’s victory at the grassroots level, Dr. Ogbo equally engaged the Landlords and Households Association in Markudi Street, led by its chairman, Hon. Usman Adam, among other executives of the association on the need to embrace the candidacy of Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman and Comrade Joel Oyibo Salifu.

He appreciated the good people of Markudi Street, specifically the Landlords and Households Association for their unanimous resolve to support APC in the forthcoming election in the state, reassuring them that Alhaji Ododo’s victory would translate to more dividends of democracy for the people of the area.

The chairman of the body, Alhaji Usman, commended Dr. Ogbo’s sincerity and proven capacity over time while assuring him that their decision to galvanize support for APC candidates would result in a resounding success in the forthcoming gubernatorial poll.

The Member representing Ankpa I at the Kogi State House Assembly, Hon. Lawal Akus used the occasion to urge the people of the community not just to adopt the APC and its candidate in the November 11 governorship election, but also to work assiduously towards its successes.
