Kogi Information Commissioner urges RATTAWU Executive to utilize Latest Technology in Information dissemination

Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo has charged Radio, Television, Theatre Arts Workers Union (RATTAWU), Kogi State Council to make the best out of electric platforms and the theatre platforms to be able to reach out to the people.
Hon. Fanwo gave the charge on Tuesday in his office while receiving officials of RATTAWU.
He re-affirmed Governor Ododo’s relentless efforts to see that the welfare of the citizenry is well taken care of. He added that RATTAWU would not be left out.
“I believe that the Radio, Television, Theatre Arts are effective and veritable platforms for communicating to the people. Make use of the latest technology and media platforms to disseminate accurate and timely information to the people. Your welfare is a top priority to the Chief Servant of Kogi State.” Hon. Fanwo stated.
He highlighted the responsibility of the Ministry of Information and Communications in the projection of the image of the state and not just the government, emphasizing that the state would soon be a cultural and tourist centre of attraction.
The Hon. Commissioner encouraged balancing and inclusiveness among the related associations, noting that balancing and inclusiveness would enable the challenges of the unions to be addressed to record progress and growth.
He appreciated the union for ensuring industrial peace, stating that the state has been enjoying peace over the years, assuring them of the Ministry’s maximum support and partnership.
Earlier, the Director General, Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation, Hajia Nana Hauwa Yussuf applauded Hon. Fanwo for his inclusive leadership style, which she described as a rare opportunity that fostered peace and increased productivity among the staff.
In his remarks, the State Chairman of Television Theatre Arts Workers Union (RATTAWU), Comrade Haruna Isah Yakubu expressed appreciation to Honourable Fanwo for his continuous support.
He outlined some of the challenges faced by the union to include mobility, non payment of Weigh-In allowance among others, assuring him and the state government of their maximum cooperation and partnership for accurate and timely information dissemination.
