Kogi State Governor, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has once again demonstrated his unwavering commitment to the state’s development by commissioning projects executed by Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali, Deputy Majority Leader of the House of Representatives, in Ankpa on July 26, 2025.

The projects, which include the construction of erosion control systems, educational facilities, solar-powered boreholes, and other infrastructural developments, are proof of the government’s focus on progress and prosperity.

Governor Ododo while Speaking, emphasized that the commissioned projects will greatly “facilitate movement, improve sanitation, and reinforce the principle that development should be regarded as a fundamental right, not a privilege”. He commended Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali for his contributions to the Ankpa community and highlighted the significance of the ACReSAL project in addressing critical challenges in Environment, healthcare, infrastructure, and security.

The ACReSAL project has made significant progress in road development and gully erosion control in Ankpa, with notable achievements including:

– Construction of 21 culverts at four gully heads
– 332 pedestrian culverts

– 22-kilometer stretch of drainage system
– Completion of 11.5 kilometers of new roads

Governor Ododo urged the people of Kogi to prioritize unity over division and cooperation over discord, stressing that such solidarity is essential to realizing the long-awaited growth and progress in the state.

The Governor extended his heartfelt appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his unwavering commitment to the advancement of Kogi State and assured that the state will offer its full support to the President in the upcoming 2027 elections.

Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali commended Governor Ododo for his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to improving the well-being of citizens, particularly in the Ankpa community.

The Deputy Governor, Comrade Joel Salifu, and other senior government officials accompanied Governor Ododo during the inspection and commissioning of the projects.
