GOVERNOR ODODO LAUDS KOGI EAST LEADERS, COMMISSIONS PROJECTS IN ANKPA

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has commended political leaders from the Eastern Senatorial Zone of Kogi State for the overwhelming reception accorded to him during his visit to Ankpa today July 26, 2025.

He particularly lauded the effort of his Deputy, Comrade Joel Oyibo, for attracting the mammoth crowd for his reception during the Commissioning of Projects executed by Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali, Deputy Majority Leader of the House of Representatives representing the people of Ankpa/Omala/Olamaboro Federal Constituency.

During his visit, Governor Ododo commissioned projects executed by Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali, Deputy Majority Leader of the House of Representatives. The projects include the construction of erosion control systems, educational facilities, solar-powered boreholes, and other infrastructural developments.

Governor Ododo emphasized that the commissioned projects will greatly facilitate movement, improve sanitation, and reinforce the principle that “development should be regarded as a fundamental right, not a privilege”.

He also commended Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali for his contributions to the Ankpa community and highlighted the significance of the ACReSAL project in addressing critical challenges in environment, healthcare, infrastructure, and security.

ACReSAL Project, a Game-Changer in Kogi State has made significant progress in road development and gully erosion control in Ankpa, with notable achievements that can only be credited Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.

These projects include:

– Construction of 21 culverts at four gully heads
– 332 pedestrian culverts
– 417 vehicular slabs
– 22-kilometer stretch of drainage system
– Completion of 11.5 kilometers of new roads

While advising people to preserve their projects, the Governor also urged the people of Kogi to prioritize unity over division and cooperation over discord, stressing that such solidarity is essential to realizing the long-awaited growth and progress in the state.

The Governor extended his heartfelt appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his unwavering commitment to the advancement of Kogi State and assured that the state will offer its full support to the President in the upcoming 2027 elections.

Visionary Leadership
Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali commended Governor Ododo for his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to improving the well-being of citizens, particularly in the Ankpa community. The Deputy Governor, Comrade Joel Salifu, and other senior government officials accompanied Governor Ododo during the inspection and commissioning of the projects.
