Kogi lawmaker, Omiatta, buried, encomiums poured on him
The representative of Yagba East in Kogi State House of Assembly, Late Jimoh Musa popularly known as Omiatta has been buried with friends and associates pouring encomiums on him for living a humble
life and for being an irreparable peace broker in his community.
The Muslim Cleric , Alfa Sulyman Aliyu who gave the homily at his burial program in Igbagun town,Yagba East Local Good Area of Kogi State said the late lawmaker ensured that he resolved all the differences in the community during the last Sallah celebration.
Still pouring encomiums on him, Alfa Aliyu disclosed that despite being a respected and humble lawmaker , the deceased endured all the insults heaped on him while making efforts to broker peace in the community.
Sulyman also said that as a cheerful giver and one who made donations towards community development, the lawmaker also accepted to renovate the community mosque when religious leaders approached him towards the project.
The cleric who described the death of the lawmaker as a community lost ,urged politicians and the rich to emulate Omiatta’s good disposition while he lived.
Also speaking to the press , Ambassador Shola Enikanolaye who was a retired Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the deceased lawmaker as a humble , resourcessful and diligent man who imparted many lives during his life time.
Enikanolaye who said the deceased was his childhood friend, added that the entire community was mourning because of how good he was to the people and his entire constituents. Enikanolaye
urged politicians and the affluent to be good to people while in positions of authority like Omiatta did, pointed out that no position is permanent in life.
Late Hon Musa Jimoh was survived by an aged mother, wife ,siblings and children.
Present at the burial program were Secretary to Kogi State Government, Dr Mrs Ayoade Folashade Arike, lawmakers and staff members of Kogi State House of Assembly, the leadership of Kogi State House of Assembly Service Commission, politicians ,associates and community people.
