Kogi LG APC Group Endorses Tinubu, Ododo, Maikudi, Chairman Abdulmalik, Reaffirms Loyalty to Bashir Gegu’s Leadership
A prominent group within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi Local Government Area of Kogi State has passionately called on residents across the 11 electoral wards spanning Zones A, B, and C to sheathe their swords of political hatred and rally solidly behind the current crop of leaders from the presidency down to the local council level, insisting that such unwavering support is the surest path to reaping maximum dividends from the ongoing administration at all tiers of government.
The Kogi LG Political Think Tank, drawing its robust membership from diverse political stakeholders in the area, convened a crucial meeting in Koton-Karfe on Sunday to drive home this message, emphasizing that the gathering was imperative to enlighten the populace on the need to sustain their backing for incumbent leaders at the national, state, and local government levels, thereby ensuring continuity in the delivery of good governance and development projects that have begun to transform lives in the area.
In a brief address to newsmen shortly after the well-attended meeting, the Chairman of the Kogi LG Political Think Tank and a key APC stakeholder, Hon. Isah Abubakar Ada-Abu Odariko, who also serves as Local Government Assistant to Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, revealed that he had been under immense pressure from party faithful and community leaders to spearhead the mobilization efforts for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Ododo, the Member representing Koton-Karfe in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Idrees Aliyu Maikudi, and the Executive Chairman of Kogi LG, Hon. Abdulmalik Musa.
Describing their leadership as a divine blessing not just to Kogi LG but to Kogi State and Nigeria at large, Ada-Abu Odariko boasted of the exceptional capacities and unwavering commitment these leaders have demonstrated in rendering selfless service to the people, while issuing a stern warning to mischief-makers nursing divide-and-rule agendas to either desist forthwith or repent before it is too late, as such antics would only undermine the collective progress of the area.
Highlighting the APC’s inclusive nature as a platform that accommodates all shades of opinion, provides opportunities for service, and rewards proven performers with renewed mandates to do even more, Ada-Abu Odariko singled out the stellar performance of Hon. Idrees Aliyu Maikudi, noting how the lawmaker has electrified several communities in Koton-Karfe, thereby consolidating and amplifying the developmental gains initiated by Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo at the state level.
He further praised Maikudi for offsetting hospital bills for indigent patients, sponsoring WAEC, NECO and JAMB registration fees for numerous students, creating employment opportunities for jobless youths, and rolling out empowerment programmes for women, youths, and the elderly, all of which have brought tangible relief and hope to thousands of families in Kogi LG.
The group also took time to reaffirm their unshakeable loyalty to the leadership of the APC in Kogi LG headed by Hon. Bashir Gegu, whose visionary guidance has kept the party united and focused on the welfare of the people.
Expressing profound gratitude to the resilient people of Kogi LG for their steadfast support thus far, Ada-Abu Odariko assured them of even greater dividends under the continued leadership of these endorsed figures, promising that more life-changing projects and interventions are in the pipeline to further consolidate the gains of the APC
