Kogi New Commissioner resumes office amidst ovation

…. charges staff members to work in order to justify the confidence reposed on them

The newly appointed Commissioner for Works and Housing, Honourable Samson Bako, on assumption of office in Lokoja today charged all staff of the Ministry to work harder in line with the vision of the New Direction Policy of State government.

Bako made this charge today in Lokoja during the handing-over ceremony at the State Ministry of Works and Housing.

Honarable Samson Bako who acted as the former Special Adviser to Governor, Alhaji Dr Yahaya Adoza Bello on Works and Housing has today resumed office as the newly appointed Commissioner for the Ministry of Works and Housing.

Bako who promised to justify the confidence reposed on him by Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello also pledged to establish cordial relationship with the existing staff of the Ministry, adding that, before any organisation could work and achieve its goals, unity which is key to success is imperative.

He encouraged all staff members of the Ministry to come together, stressing that his office would be opened to all ideas that could bring about the growth and development of the Ministry.

During the Handing-over, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Engr E.O Audu appreciated the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello for the consideration of a man of impeccable character as the new Commissioner for the Ministry.

Honourable Bako in his word, “I appreciate his excellency for given me the oporturnity to serve under his administration and I promise to be loyal to his excellency and the administration in any assignment, task , duties and responsibility that may be assign to me delligently in accordance with new direction mantra” he said

He finally thanked the Governor for his kind consideration of him as the newly appointed Commissioner for the Kogi State Ministry of Works and Housing and promised to be more committed to the New Direction Government of Kogi State.
