Kogi NUJ media parley for governorship aspirants begins on Monday

Kogi NUJ media parley for governorship aspirants begins on Monday

The Kogi State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists would from Monday, 3rd April, 2023 begin a Media Parley For Aspirants in the forthcoming Governorship Election.

A statement issued by Jerry Ocheme, Chairman and Abu Michael, Secretary, Media Parley Planning Committee, said invitation letters to attend 2023 Kogi State NUJ Media Parley For Governorship Aspirants have already been sent to Governorship Aspirants irrespective of Political Parties.

The statement said by virtue of section 22 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, empowers the media to hold public office holders and those seeking public office accountable.

The Union called on the Governorship Aspirants to use the opportunity to unveil their mission and vision to the delegates ahead of the various Parties Primaries and by extension the people of Kogi State.

The Media Parley which would hold at the NUJ Press Centre Lokoja has scheduled Asiwaju Asiru Idris, Abdulsalaam Ozigi Deedat and Pharm. Jamiu Asuku to make their appearances on Monday, 3rd April, 2023.

Similarly, Hon. Yakubu Okala, Alhaji Jibrin Momoh and Engr. Friday Idachaba are expected to make their own appearances on Tuesday, 4th April, 2023.

Furthermore, Murtala Yakubu Ajaka, Prof. Stephen Ocheni and Barr. Abdulsalaam Ozigi Deedat will make appearance on Wednesday, 5th April, 2023.
