Kogi State is Bedeviled by Orchestrated Enslavement — Braimoh
Olayinka Braimoh, a former governorship candidate and now a chieftain of the African Democratic Party in Kogi State has stated that the state is bedeviled by orchestrated enslavement which has led to a situation where we have the worst of us leading the rest of us while we actually need some of the best of us to lead the rest of us.
He made the statement during the Kogi West unveiling of the party which took place on Saturday, 6 December 2025 at Kabba, in Kabba/Bunu LGA of the state. In his speech, he said, “What we are experiencing today in Kogi state is an orchestrated enslavement and poverty, oppression, suppression, repression, exploitation, despotism, cruelty, misery and that is the situation we find ourselves today in the state”.
When talking about the process of choosing those who lead us, he said, “The active, nonchalant attitude of the people in the state has led to a situation where we have the worst of us leading the rest of us while we actually need some of the best of us to lead the rest of us”.
He then congratulated everyone for coming together to save the state, saying, “I want to congratulate all of us here today. We are working together to ensure that we put a stop to the corporate terrorism through poverty that has led to armed terrorism. We are determined and resolute than ever before to free our people from this state as from 2027”.
He concluded by saying, “This is why we urge all of us to stay focused and committed to the cause of freedom for the state from the wickedness in the land and oppressive tendencies that have pervaded every knock and cranny of our state. I urge all of us to stay focused and be committed to the end. God bless Nigeria. God bless the people”.
