KOLAWOLE JAMES OLOWOOKERE SAN BAGS PRESTIGIOUS COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SERVICE AWARD 2026

ABUJA — Kolawole James Olowookere, SAN, Principal Partner of Kolawole James Olowookere and Co, has been honoured with the prestigious Community Development Service Award 2026 by Democracy Newsline Newspaper.
The award was presented at the newspaper’s 16th Anniversary and Awards Ceremony held in Abuja.
Mr. Olowookere was represented at the event by Barrister Gabriel Ogugua of the firm.


The organisers recognised the Senior Advocate for his outstanding contributions to community development, legal advocacy, pro-bono services, and empowerment initiatives that have impacted lives at the grassroots.
According to Democracy Newsline Newspaper, the Community Development Service Award celebrates individuals and institutions that have demonstrated sustained commitment to improving livelihoods and promoting justice and social welfare.
Speaking on his behalf, Barr. Ogugua expressed appreciation to the organisers and described the award as a reflection of Mr. Olowookere’s dedication to service beyond the courtroom.
“Mr Kolawole James Olowookere SAN, believes that the law must serve the people. Beyond legal practice, he has consistently supported education, youth empowerment, and community development projects. This recognition will encourage us to do even more,” Barr. Ogugua stated.
In a goodwill message, Mr. Olowookere dedicated the award to community leaders, young lawyers, and volunteers working to bring positive change at the grassroots.
“Service to humanity is the highest calling. This honour belongs to everyone striving to make our communities better,” the message read.
