Kolawole Speaks Out Against Violence in Bunu Land
The immediate past Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Matthew Kolawole has condemned the recent wave of kidnappings and killings in Bunu District, saying the attacks are “assaults on our humanity”
In a statement, Rt. Hon. (Prince) Mathew Kolawole expressed outrage over incidents in Aiyetoro-Kiri, Taki-Ihale Road, and Olle, where gunmen abducted worshippers and travelers, killing some.
“No worshippers or travelers are safe,” Kolawole said, urging greater vigilance from security agencies.
He prayed for peace, wisdom for leaders, and an end to the violence.
The attacks have plunged Bunu Land into fear and despair. Kolawole vowed: “Bunu land will rise above this terror. Together, we shall overcome.”
