KSU Kabba Commends Governor Ododo for infrastructure development, as management refunds application fees to the students
The management of Kogi State University, Kabba has commended Governor Ododo Usman for the steady infrastructure development of the citadel of learning, saying his determination not to leave any stone unturned by matching his words with action underscore his genuine love for the overall development of the education sector of the State.
This was disclosed in a chat with the Public Relations Officer of the institution, Hon. Tade Oshaloto when our crew visited the campus yesterday to assess the ongoing constructions.
He said Governor Ododo has shown he is a leader who believes in the overall development of the entire sectors of the state, pointing out that his last visit to the institution had a tremendous impact on the ongoing projects as funds were being released for the projects to be completed as scheduled.
He also acknowledged the efforts of the Governor who personally led the Commissioner for Education, Hon. Wemi Jones Vice Chancellor, Professor Eniola Kehinde and other management staff to visit the office of the Executive Secretary, Tertiary Education Trust Funds, (Tetfund) in Abuja recently to make case for the institution to be considered for intervention projects which according to him will have a long lasting impacts when those projects are approved.
He said the Vice Chancellor and his team are not leaving any stone unturned in providing the right leadership to pilot the affairs of the school to an enviable height.
Hon Oshaloto said the school has also started its IJMB program which he believes will also assist the students in the couse of their studies especially those who could not meet up admissions cut off marks of the institution but urged them to take advantage of the program to join their course mates in 200 level if they meet up the requirements.
He also acknowledged the refund of the two thousand naira application fees to all students as directed by the Vice Chancellor, stressing that the institution is a digital citadel of learning that will provide solutions to so many societal problems through the kind of training the students will receive in the course of their studies.
