Kubwa Land Encroachment Court Orders IGP to arrest former DIG Hafiz Inuwa for disobeying lawful order

The Federal High Court, Maitama in Abuja has ordered the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun to arrest retired Deputy Inspector General of Police, Hafiz Inuwa by all means and take him to the Kuje correctional center for disobeying lawful court ruling of further encroachment on the property of Christ Apostolic church, Victory District Headquarters, Arab road, Kubwa Abuja.

In a ruling delivered by Justice Edward Okpe, the retired DIG is to be committed to the Correctional center for not obeying the judgment of the court delivered since May 13th, 2022 stopping him from carrying out any further activities on the land since he illegally demolished the property without proper documentation from the approving authorities.

Meanwhile the retired DIG had encroached on the church land by demolishing major parts of the church properties in 2018 to illegally harness it in order to expand his plaza close to the church, using his influence in government and every effort to talk to him proved abortive hence the church approached the court.

After hearing the matter, Justice Edward Okpe had granted the prayers of the judgment creditor against Hafiz Inuwa who is the judgment debtor for disobeying court judgment that stopped him on further activities on the said land since 2022, committing him to the Correctional facility in Kuje.
