Late Adagwom Azi Eulogised in Thanksgiving Service
Family members and dignitaries gathered at the Church of Christ In Nations, Nukpis, Jos, to eulogize the late Adagwom Azi Arin, Village Head of Nukpis, in a thanksgiving service.
Speakers described the late leader as a man of humility, dedication, and fear of God, who led his community with wisdom and compassion. Prof. Jonathan Dabor, former Head of Community Medicine, University of Jos, recalled the community’s partnership with the late leader, praising Nukpis as a serene and hospitable community.
Other dignitaries, including Associate Professor Augustine Azi, Professor Ishaya Abok, and traditional rulers, extolled the late leader’s virtues and urged youths to emulate his example.
They also advised the community to pursue education and security consciousness, especially during the Christmas period.
The leadership Pastor, Reverend Kefas Gumap, charged believers to show gratitude to God for His mercies and protection, citing 1 Timothy 3:4-6.
Speaking for the family, Hon. David Arin Azi thanked God for His grace and healing, noting that several family members had been healed from illnesses.
The event was attended by academics, traditional rulers, and government officials, including the Liaison Officer to the Governor, Jos North West, represented by the PDP Chairman of Jos North Local Government.
