Late Chief Dr. E.K. Clark Was the Voice of the Voiceless ,the Conscience of Our Nation, Says E.K. Clark Solidarity for Good Governance

By Wilson Macaulay

The EK Clark Solidarity For Good Governance has described Late Chief DR EK Clark CON OFR as the voice of the voiceless and the conscience of the Nigerian State.

The E.K. Clark Solidarity for Good Governance also stated that they have been plunged into deep mourning following the unexpected passage of their revered National Inspirational Leader, Chief Dr. Senator Edwin Kiagbodo Clark,

The group, which has long upheld the principles and ideals championed by the late elder statesman, expressed profound sorrow over the loss of their leader whom they described as a fearless advocate for justice and a moral compass for the nation.

In a statement signed by prominent leaders of the group, including High Chief M.U. Usige JP (BOT Chairman), Chief A.H. Erute JP (Leader Delta Central), Hon. Chief Adaku Chukuma (Woman Leader), Comr. Lucky Edoh (Secretary), and Prince A. Abugo (Coordinator), the group lamented the irreplaceable vacuum left by Pa Clark’s demise. They hailed him as a towering political leader, a courageous voice for the oppressed, and a steadfast champion of social justice.

The statement extolled the unparalleled legacy of Chief Clark, emphasizing his relentless fight against corruption, nepotism, tribalism, and other social vices that have stunted Nigeria’s political and economic progress.

Continuing, the group described him as a leader who understood the importance of partnership with the masses, earning deep respect and admiration from both the political elite and the common people.

“Pa Clark was not only the voice of the voiceless but also the conscience of a nation infected by amoral characters. His numerous accomplishments in advocacy against social ills are well recorded in history. His courage in calling out injustice and corruption, even in the face of threats and opposition, set him apart as a true patriot,” the statement read.

The E.K. Clark Solidarity for Good Governance recounted his relentless pursuit of equity, fairness, and good governance in Nigeria, particularly his steadfast commitment to the development of the Niger Delta and the South-South region. He was instrumental in several socio-political movements that sought to redress historical injustices and uplift marginalized communities.

“His fearless national commentary and socio-political crusade made him a beacon of hope for millions of Nigerians. He was a pillar of strength and an uncommon leader whose wisdom and integrity earned him a place of honor in the annals of Nigerian history,” the statement continued.

While acknowledging that Chief Clark passed at a ripe age, the group asserted that to his numerous disciples and admirers, his departure still feels too soon. His unwavering commitment to the principles of democracy, accountability, and national development remained unwavering until his last days, making his loss even more profound.

“As a group and as his disciples, we find ourselves in a state of devastation, but we remain resolved to uphold and abide by the teachings of our national leader. His demise has created a significant vacuum in the fight for good governance in Nigeria. We shall sorely miss him, but we take solace in the indelible legacy he has left behind,”

The group extended their prayers for the peaceful repose of his soul and called on all Nigerians who believe in justice, fairness, and national unity to continue the noble causes he championed. They described his death as not just a loss to his immediate community but to the entire nation, which has been deprived of one of its most courageous and principled voices.

They asserted in their tribute that the E.K. Clark Solidarity for Good Governance will remain committed to preserving his ideals and ensuring that his vision for a better Nigeria remains alive. Adieu, our national leader, they declared in their heartfelt farewell.
