Lawmaker Visit Victims of Recent Attacks in Bassa LGA
Hon. Daniel Asama, the Honourable Member representing the esteemed people of Bassa/Jos North Federal Constituency, exhibited profound empathy as he embarked on a condolence visit to the victims and survivors of the recent heinous attacks on Nkienzha and Teegbe villages in Mingo District of Bassa LGA, Plateau State, says the barbaric acts were perpetrated by terrorists who are enemies of Plateau State Peace and Unity.
In a display of solidarity, Hon. Asama, accompanied by the Bassa Transition Chairman- Hon. Fidelis Adara, and other prominent members of the campaign council, extended heartfelt sympathies to the affected families.
He acknowledged the resilience and vigilance demonstrated by the communities, hreaffirmed his commitment to collaborating with the state government and relevant agencies to ensure the protection of lives and properties.
During the visit, the inhabitants of Teegbe villages expressed their pressing need for improved security measures, advocating for the installation of lighting infrastructure and the establishment of a security outpost within their vicinity. Hon. Asama, recognizing the validity of their concerns, emphasized the imperative of unity and collective effort in advancing the “Plateau Project” initiative and spearheaded by His Excellency, Governor Barr. Caleb Mwutfwang by fostering the spirit of cooperation and collaboration, Hon. Daniel Asama underscored the importance of collective action in thwarting the activities of insurgents and safeguarding the well-being of all Plateau State residents.
