Birnin Kebbi — Hon. Dantani Ango Yellow, Special Assistant to Senator Garba Musa Maidoki, has highlighted the public service record of Barrister Abubakar Malami, Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), while expressing concerns about governance and security in Kebbi State.

Speaking with journalists in Birnin Kebbi, Dantani described Malami as an experienced legal practitioner and former public official whose career has covered legal practice, public administration, and national governance.

According to Dantani, Malami’s attainment of the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria reflects his contributions to the legal profession and his years of service in constitutional law and public administration. He also referenced Malami’s tenure as Nigeria’s Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, saying it provided him with experience in legal reform, policy development, and the administration of justice.

Dantani said Malami remains an influential figure in legal and political discussions relating to Kebbi State and Nigeria, adding that his public record continues to attract both support and scrutiny.

Addressing issues affecting Kebbi State, Dantani expressed concern over what he described as continuing challenges in security, healthcare, education, access to clean drinking water, youth employment, and public service delivery. He attributed these concerns to the performance of the current state administration, while noting that these views reflect his own political assessment.

He also referred to reports from communities including Mekende, Sabbene, Bulu, and Auwal in Fakai Local Government Area, where he said residents have raised concerns about insecurity and the availability of government services. Dantani called on the Kebbi State Government to provide updated information on conditions in the affected communities and to continue efforts to address residents’ concerns with full of lies.

The Kebbi State Government has maintained that security has improved across the state. Dantani urged public officials to communicate openly with residents regarding security developments, emphasizing the importance of transparency and public confidence, but not trying in deceiving people and instead to accept that it’s failed.

Commenting on his principal, Dantani said Senator Garba Musa Maidoki has consistently emphasized engagement with constituents and attention to issues affecting Kebbi South Senatorial District.

According to him, the Senator has focused on legislative representation, constituency outreach, and raising matters of public concern at the national level. He said the Senator remains committed to maintaining close contact with the people he represents and to advocating for projects and policies intended to support development within the district.

Dantani thanked residents of Kebbi South Senatorial District for their continued engagement with Senator Maidoki and said the Senator remains committed to listening to constituents’ concerns and representing their interests through democratic institutions.
