Meet the new President General, Kabba Development Union, (KDU) Mr Emmanuel Bobinihi

According to Roy Bennett, “Success is not how high you have climbed, but how you make a positive difference to the world.” This aptly captured the person God has ordained to be the President General of our highly valued Kabba Development Union for the next four years.

Born to the family of Late Chief Simon Arokoyo Bobinihi (Obasaru) Mr. Emmanuel Oluwafemi Bobinihi started his academic journey from the prestigious St. Mary primary school, Kabba in 1967.

As a brilliant young boy, he obtained the first position in the First School leaving Certificate in the whole of the then Kabba Division and second position in the entire defunct Kwara state in 1973.

Mr Bobinihi proceeded to St Augustine’s College, Kabba in 1974 and graduated with Division one with aggregate 11.(1979)

In further pursuit of academics, he proceeded to the then popular School of Basic Studies (SBS) Kwara Tech, where he equally graduated in flying colors

The young scion of the Bobinihi Dynasty then proceeded to the University of Ibadan and graduated in 1985 with Second Class (Upper Division) BSc( Political Science)

After graduating from the university, he was posted to Imo State in1986 where he rendered a year service to his nation.

It is pertinent to add that Mr Bobinihi had been in the service of the then Kwara state and on completion of his one year mandatory service, he re-joined Kwara state service in 1987.

It’s often said that the result of hard work is more work. As a result of his dedication to duty, he was converted to the officer cadre as an Admin.Officer and ranked by schedule as a Management Staff charged with the responsibility of overseeing the establishment, general administration and public relations.

On creation of Kogi state in 1991, his service was transferred to the Kogi state utility board where he served in the same capacity.

Not totally done with education, Mr Bobinihi upgraded his academic qualifications by bagging Masters Degree in Public Administration in 1998

In 2007, he was promoted to the enviable position of Director Admin.. As a Director in the public service, he meritoriously served in the following Ministries, Departments and Agencies:

(1) Board of Internal Revenue

(2) Ministry of Justice

(3) Kogi state Town Planning and Development Board

4) Kogi State Electoral Commission. He was the Operating Officer during the hitch free and generally applauded 2014 local Govt elections.

(5) Kogi state Ministry of Works as Director Admin and Finance (DAF)

As one of the prides of Owe

Mr Emmanuel Bobinihi retired meritoriously in August 2016 after serving for thirty-five years.

CONCLUSION

As a man whose humility, resourcefulness and agility are unequalled, it is just expedient to give him the needed support so that he could display the skills and dexterity he gathered in the public service in the running of Kabba Development Union. He truly understands the importance and working of government which can be put to the use and advantage of our community.
