As parents and families of the 2025 graduating set of Great Height Academy, Kado District, Abuja, continue to shower praises on the school for its outstanding academic performance and moral standards, Mr. Abbas Ibrahim, Deputy General Manager at the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), has also joined in commending the institution.
Speaking to the media at the 2025 Speech, Prize Giving, and Graduation Ceremony held at the Dr. Mariam Babangida Center for Women Development, Central Business District, Abuja, Abbas lauded the school management for their unwavering commitment to the academic, moral, and character development of their pupils.
He noted that the dedication and hard work of the school were clearly reflected in the graduands, stressing that no other school in the Federal Capital Territory would have been a better choice for his children.
Abbas, who currently has three children enrolled at Great Height Academy, expressed his delight at the range of academic and extracurricular activities offered by the school. He particularly praised the dual curriculum—covering both secular and Islamic education—which he described as a major strength.
“One thing that impressed me most about the school is the dual curriculum—secular and Islamic education,” he said. “With what I have seen today, every parent should be proud. The commitment the children have shown to what they’ve learnt means the staff and directors are doing their best, breeding a generation of future leaders.”
However, Abbas expressed disapproval over a stage drama titled “Irony of a Nation”, in which a government official was portrayed receiving a bribe—symbolizing corruption in the country’s political system.
He described the performance as “unpalatable”, saying it might unnecessarily expose the children to the nation’s social ills at their age. Abbas suggested that a more uplifting and inspiring theme would have been more appropriate and widely acceptable.
