Mr Yakubu Ishaya Malo Congratulates Jibrin Sule
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Yakubu Ishaya Malo, described the coronation of the Director of Protocol to the Governor of Plateau State, Mr. Jibrin Sule, as a step in the right direction.
The Permanent Secretary stated this in Matol town, Bokkos L.G.A of Plateau State, during the coronation of Jibrin as Magajin Matol. Malo said the coronation is indeed a good one for the people of Matol, to graciously honour their son, who is working directly with His Excellency, the Governor of Plateau State, Barrister Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, as his Director of Protocol.
“The title of Magajin Matol is indeed a great honour alongside the Galadiman Matol, and singling him out for such a prestigious and revered title is a testament that he has been assisting his community and is the right thing to do. Today, he has been recognised by his own people.
“I want to challenge him; it is a wake-up call to him and others who have been given awards of excellence to do more for the progress and development of this great community.
“For us as a ministry, we always believe that whatever is being done in respect of chieftaincy, the right procedures must have been certainly observed. I want to join many well-wishers to congratulate him on this noble selection and coronation,” Malo said.
According to the Permanent Secretary, His Excellency is determined to ensure that he restretagises the traditional institutions in the state because they are directly working with the people, and he is always charging us to fill the vacant stools once the right procedures are fulfilled because they play a key role in governance and unity of the state.
