Niger State Government Takes Steps to Address Housing Needs of Residents.
In a bid to provide affordable housing for Nigerlites, particularly Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), Farmer Governor Umaru Bago, is championing efforts to utilize sustainable materials for building solutions.
To this end, a delegation led by the Deputy Governor of Niger State, Comrade Yakubu Garba, visited South Africa. The delegation, which includes Commissioners from relevant Ministries, is meeting with team members of Hydraform Int. LTD, a company specializing in the manufacture of construction machinery, including brick and block-making machines.
The primary objectives of the delegation’s visit is to explore the feasibility of acquiring modern construction equipment and to provide training for young Nigerlites on the operation and maintenance of these machines. This initiative is designed to offer sustainable solutions to the housing deficit in the state while also creating job opportunities for young men and women.
