MAYO-BELWA LG BOSS SAYS SECURITY, AGRICULTURE AND YOUTH EMPOWERMENT TOPS HIS AGENDA

The Executive Chairman of Mayo-Belwa local Government Area of Adamawa State, Honourable Umar Nashon Gubi has said that, his administration Since inception has given Priority attention to Security of lives and Property of the Residents, Youth Empowerment and also revolutionarised the Agricultural sector of the Council.
Hon. Nashon disclosed this to the press at the 19th Abuja International trade fair 2024, held recently, on the occasion of the Special day of Adamawa State, a day set aside for the People of Adamawa State to Showcase their Products and talents at the trade fair.

The Mayo Council Boss Maintained that, the Security of lives and Property was Paramount in the Pursuit of livelihoods, and that for that reason he has Committed a Sizeable amount of the Council’s resources to Compliment the State and federal government efforts towards ensuring that all elements that Constitute threats to individuals endeavors and their Collective aspirations are dealt with in the Council atea.
He further pointed out that his administration has also been able to intensify awareness Campaign on the needs for the locals to embrace Agriculture to enable them fight food insecurity that has resulted to hunger due to the high cost of foods items.
He said beside the awareness Created amongst the locals, his administration has also aided the Citizenry with equipments to make farming less Cumbersome.
Hon. Umar Nashon asserted that, another area in Which his administration has given utmost priority is Youth Empowerment through Skills acquisition to reduce unemployment and restiveness among the Youth. a development which according to him has afforded opportunity to over a thousand of the youth in Council area to be trained in Various Skills and Start up Cash Provided for them.
While Calling on the Citizens of the State to Support the Governor Amodu Fintiri led Administration in his efforts to impacts Positively in their lives,the local Government Boss also Commended the Governor for his enviable and results Oriented leadership which has brought Multi-faceted transformation in the State.
