Niger State Medical Team Provides Relief to Mokwa Flood Victims

The Niger State Medical Team has launched a coordinated response to address the health challenges arising from the recent flood disaster in Mokwa. The team is working closely with other Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to provide relief to the affected communities.

Several individuals and organizations have donated generously to support the flood victims. Some of the notable donors include:

– Her Excellency, Hajia Fatima Mohammed Bago – N50 million
– Senator Sani Musa (313) – N50 million
– Alhaji Idris Mohammed Malagi – N20 million
– Mr. Peter Obi – N20 million
– Niger Foods – N20 million and 1,000 bags of rice
– Sammya Nigeria Limited – N10 million
– Pink Pearl International Limited – N10 million
– Niger State Commissioners Forum – N6 million
– Abdullahi Hassan Lawal – N5 million
– Kiara Rice Mill – 1,000 bags of rice

The General Hospital in Mokwa has been treating patients with various medical and surgical conditions, including lacerations, delirium, abrasive wounds, and minor psychoses. The medical team is working tirelessly to provide relief to the affected communities.

Emergency work has been activated on the affected part of the road to ease vehicular movement and facilitate access to the affected areas.

The response to the flood disaster has demonstrated the strength and resilience of the community, with many individuals and organizations coming together to provide support and relief to those affected.
