He said the new date supersedes the previous dates of 2nd to 16th June, 2025, while urging all shortlisted candidates to take note of the reversed dates.

Dr Oghenesivbe further disclosed that a total of 691 candidates of Delta State origin, the highest number since inception, have been shortlisted for the screening exercise scheduled to hold from Sunday 8th to Saturday 21st June, 2025 at Cenotaph Complex, adding that Delta youths are responding positively in their large numbers to actively serve Nigeria through the military and paramilitary services, after low turnout spanning over a decade.

He said the state governor, Rt Hon (Dr) Sheriff Oborevwori has directed members of the State Awareness Committee on Youth Enlistment into Military and Paramilitary services, to be on ground at Cenotaph Complex to assist the 691 shortlisted candidates during the screening exercise in terms of logistics, welfare, et al.

According to the Director General of Delta State Orientation and Communications Bureau, the state government will provide buses at strategic locations across the three senatorial districts to convey shortlisted candidates to and from the screening exercise, while successful candidates shall proceed to Zaria
immediately for training.

Dr Oghenesivbe advised all shortlisted candidates of Delta State origin to bring along with them the original copies of documents necessary for the screening exercise, emphasizing the need for mental and physical wellness without history of hypertension, high blood pressure and epilepsy disease.
