NMA, NVMA showers Gov. Ododo with praises for approving 2024 CONMESS

The Nigerian Medical Association, (NMA) Kogi State and the Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association, (NVMA) have commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for approving the revised CONMES for medical doctors in the State.

The commendation was contained in a joint communique signed on Friday by the Kogi State NMA Chairman, Dr, Azeez Jimoh, Secretary, Dr Uche Chuks Freeman, NVMA Chairman, Dr Tolu Omotugba and NVMA Secretary, Dr Musa Gomina respectively.

While describing Governor Ododo as a trail blazer, and the best Governor in Nigeria, the two bodies of doctors observed that thr present administration has recorded many successes and scored some great points in the areas of Health, Agriculture, Education, Security, Economy and ultimately welfare of workers in the state.

“ We want to state boldy that in the Nigeria today under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, given the available resources , Governor Ododo Ahmed Usman is unarguably on of the best Governor in this country now. This is a man that has continued to lift the torch of the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu so high and across all sectors of the economy thereby giving actual hope of better future for all Kogi workers and indigenes.

“Governor Ododo has continued to show himself as workers- friendly, masses loving , progressive and workaholic leader who is passionate about taking this state from the great height reached by the former Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello to a far greater height in terms of welfare of workers and infrastructural development.

“The Executives of the two association alludes that this great move of universal applicability of renumeration between the doctors working in the State and Federal Govt hospitals is in line with the theme of this year’s Physician Week and will go a long way to stem the tide of internal brain drain , retain talents within the state and attract many more doctors into the state from all across the country.

“Kogi State has always been among the first few states of the federation to approve and execute great policies in the country and this approval by His Excellency is a testament to that fact and our members all across the twenty one local governments has come to tell the whole world that we are grateful to His Excellency”.

The medical Doctors assured Governor Ododo that their members shall continue to give their best into the health care delivery in the state, adding they will continue to partner with the state government towards the actualization of it campaign promises.
