Ojulari, the new NNPCL boss, hails from Kwara State. Until his new appointment, He was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Renaissance Africa Energy Company. His Renaissance recently led a consortium of indigenous energy firms in the landmark acquisition of the entire equity holding in the Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria (SPDC), worth $2.4 billion.

NDIMRC described his appointment by the President as a welcome development.

“His appointment by the President is well deserved. He is tested and trusted. We are very confident that he will do his best for the nation”, the Group said on Wednesday in a Press Statement signed by its President, Nelly Emma, Secretary, John Sailor and Public Relations Officer (PRO), Stanley Mukoro.

Also, NDIMRC has felicitated with Mr. Austin Avuru on his appointment as a Non-Executive Director representing the South-South geopolitical zone on the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) Board, just as they commended the former Group Chief Executive Officer of the NNPCL, Mallam Mele Kyari for his enviable achievements while in office

The Group in a congratulatory message, described the appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as a well-deserved recognition of Mr. Avuru’s outstanding contributions to the oil and gas sector.

They emphasized that as an illustrious son of the oil-rich Niger Delta Region, Avuru’s elevation had brought pride to the Region and stood as a testament to his wealth of experience, professionalism, and commitment to national development.

The Group expressed confidence in Mr. Avuru’s ability to make significant contributions to the NNPCL Board, leveraging his expertise to advance the oil and gas industry for the benefit of the nation.

The Group prayed for wisdom and success for Mr. Avuru in his new role, while also expressing optimism that his leadership would further strengthen the industry and drive economic growth.

“Your appointment is not just a personal achievement but a source of pride for the entire people of the Niger Delta Region. We are mighty proud of you and we know that you will not disappoint the people of the Region”, the group said.

Meanwhile, the Group has showered praises on the former Group Chief Executive Officer of the NNPCL, Mallam Mele Kyari for his enviable achievements while in office.

According to the Group, Kyari took NNPC to enviable heights and restored sanity to the Niger Delta Region. They noted that he did his best while in office and said that; “We will not fail to recommend you to the President for another appointment in future”.

They also said that; “You came, you saw and you conquered, you chased away oil thieves from the region and restored the environment.
For decades, oil theft and pipeline vandalism crippled Nigeria’s economy. But his strategic partnerships with Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL) and other security agencies, has reduced oil theft drastically”.

“The former able and competent Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of the NNPCL, Mallam Mele Kyari, gave these unpatriotic oil thieves a good run for their money. Under his watch, crude oil production moved from 600, 000 barrels per day to 1.8 million. He achieved so much for the nation when he was at the helm of affairs and we are proud of him. He made our refineries to work again. We will not hesitate to recommend this patriotic Nigerian to the President for another appointment in future”, the group added.

“We are using this medium to congratulate all those appointed by the President on Wednesday to pilot the affairs of the NNPCL”,
the Group said on Wednesday in a Press Statement signed by its President, Nelly Emma, Secretary, John Sailor and Public Relations Officer (PRO), Stanley Mukoro.
