NSCDC BOSS AUDI,SENIOR OFFICERS CELEBRATE DCG HARUNA ON RETIREMENT AND 60TH BIRTHDAY.

It was a moment of joy, celebration and solidarity on Friday, 17th January, 2025 at the NSCDC National Headquarters, Abuja, when the agency’s High Command comprising, Deputy Commandants General (DCGs) Assistant Commandants General (ACGs) Commandants, Senior Officers, Officers and men of the Corps accompanied by invited guests gathered to celebrate DCG Mohammed Lawal Haruna, dssrs, fdc on the occasion of his 60th birthday celebration cum retirement from active service.

Dr John Ade Abolurin Auditorium which served as venue for the occasion was filled to its capacity.

From the Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, it was a moment of reflection as he amongst others took time to present in brief the score card of the celebrant.

In a farewell message read by DCG Technical Services, Zakari Ibrahim Ningi, fdc, on his behalf, the CG said, “DCG ML Haruna, fdc is one of my most dedicated lieutenants who has made invaluable contributions to the service,”

He continued, “his symbolic attributes include humility, hardwork, courage, loyalty, commitment, forthrightness patriotic zeal and dedication to duty.”

Similarly, the DCG in charge of Intelligence and Investigation cum 2ic to the Commandant General, Dr Nnamdi Nwinyi who spoke on behalf of all the DCGs highlighted the good virtues of the celebrant and wished him well as he proceeds on retirement.

In the same vein, invited guests who graced the occasion which include the representatives of Bua Group of Companies Nigeria Limited, the National National Petroleum Corporation, serving and retired security officers whose path crossed with Haruna, appreciated his personality and service to fatherland.

Other highlights of the event was prayers, photographs and cutting of the birthday cake by the celebrant in company of his wife, Libabatu and members of the high table.
