NYC Leadership Pays Familiarisation Visit to Kogi Deputy Governor

The newly inaugurated leadership of the Nigerian Youth Congress (NYC), Kogi State Chapter, has paid a familiarisation visit to the Kogi State Deputy Governor, Comrade Joel Oyibo, as part of efforts to establish a working relationship with the state government.

The delegation was led by the newly inaugurated Kogi State Chairman of the NYC, Comr. Oloruntoba Juwon Moses, and included the National President of the organisation, Engr. Jethro Annum.

During the visit, the NYC leadership formally introduced the new state administration and discussed the need for constructive engagement between the Congress and the Kogi State Government on issues relating to youth development.

The Deputy Governor assured the delegation of the support of the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, noting that the government remained committed to initiatives capable of advancing the interests and welfare of young people across the state.

Comrade Oyibo further assured the NYC leadership that his office would remain accessible to the organisation, stressing that the doors of the Deputy Governor’s office were always open to the Nigerian Youth Congress.

He encouraged the new leadership to remain focused on programmes that would positively impact young people and contribute to the development of Kogi State.

The visit provided an opportunity for the new NYC leadership to strengthen its relationship with the state government as it begins its tenure and works towards implementing its youth development agenda.

The Comr. Oloruntoba Juwon Moses-led administration has identified youth empowerment, employment, education, entrepreneurship, and political and leadership participation among its key priorities.

The leadership is also expected to pursue greater collaboration with government and other stakeholders in addressing issues affecting young people across the state.
