ASABA — The Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Political Matters, Hon. Comrade Francis Obule, JP, has commended Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for the successful hosting of the just-concluded Delta State Economic and Investment Summit, describing it as a bold and visionary initiative that has repositioned Delta State as one of Nigeria’s foremost investment destinations.
Speaking while reviewing the outcome of the summit, Obule said Governor Oborevwori once again demonstrated exceptional leadership by bringing together an impressive array of investors, captains of industry, development partners, financial institutions, policymakers, diplomats, business executives, and economic experts to deliberate on practical strategies for unlocking Delta State’s vast economic potential.
According to him, the quality of participants and the level of engagement witnessed throughout the summit reflected the growing confidence of both local and international investors in the Oborevwori administration and its commitment to sustainable economic development.
“The Delta State Economic and Investment Summit was more than a gathering of stakeholders; it was a declaration that Delta is open for business and ready to compete with the best investment destinations in Africa. Governor Sheriff Oborevwori deserves commendation for providing the leadership and vision that made this landmark event possible,” Obule said.
He noted that the governor’s MORE Agenda has continued to translate into practical achievements through massive infrastructure development, improved security, investment-friendly policies, and strategic partnerships designed to diversify the state’s economy beyond dependence on oil revenues.
Obule further stated that the summit has laid a solid foundation for increased investments in agriculture, energy, manufacturing, technology, tourism, logistics, the maritime economy, and other productive sectors capable of creating thousands of jobs for young people and stimulating inclusive economic growth.
He expressed optimism that the investment commitments, business networking opportunities, and policy engagements recorded during the summit would soon translate into concrete projects that would boost industrialisation, expand the state’s revenue base, and improve the living standards of Deltans.
The governor’s aide urged political leaders, traditional rulers, the organised private sector, youth groups, and all residents of Delta State to support Governor Oborevwori’s economic transformation agenda, stressing that sustainable development can only be achieved through unity, collaboration, and shared commitment.
Obule concluded by congratulating Governor Oborevwori and the organisers of the summit for delivering what he described as one of the most successful economic gatherings in Delta State’s history, expressing confidence that its outcomes would accelerate economic growth, attract long-term investments, and secure a prosperous future for generations of Deltans.
