“Okun People Will Repay Goodwill” — APC Chieftain Meseko Hails Tinubu at Grand Reception for Fire Service Boss
The Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Duro Meseko, has expressed deep appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as his magnanimity toward the people of Kogi State, particularly the Okun nation, through key federal appointments.
Hon. Meseko made this known during a colourful homecoming reception organized in honour of the newly appointed Controller General of the Federal Fire Service, Adeyemi Sam Onimode, by his community. The event, which drew dignitaries, party faithful, and well-wishers from across the state, was marked by celebration and expressions of gratitude.
In his remarks, Meseko commended President Tinubu for recognizing the contributions and potential of the Okun people, noting that the appointment of Onimode as Controller General is a testament to the President’s inclusive leadership style.
He emphasized that the Okun people are known for their sincerity and strong sense of gratitude, assuring that they would not forget the goodwill extended to them. According to him, “The Okun people do not forget any good done to them. At the appropriate time, we will surely repay this gesture.”
Meseko further described the Okun people as honest and dependable, expressing confidence that they would stand firmly in support of the President and his administration.
The APC chieftain also offered prayers for the newly appointed Controller General, asking for divine wisdom, strength, and guidance for Adeyemi Sam Onimode as he assumes the responsibilities of his office. He expressed optimism that Onimode would excel in his role and bring pride to Kogi State and the nation at large.
The event served not only as a celebration of Onimode’s achievement but also as a reaffirmation of the community’s unity and commitment to national development.
