By Our Correspondent

ABUJA — Leaders and stakeholders of Okunland are set to converge in Abuja for the Okun Unity Dialogue 2026, a major gathering aimed at fostering unity, mutual understanding and a collective roadmap for the development of the Okun people.

The dialogue, convened by the Okun Development Initiative (ODI), is scheduled for Thursday, 3rd September 2026 at the Armed Forces Officers Mess & Suites, After Lungi Barracks, by PW Construction Company, Asokoro, Abuja. The program will begin at 11:00 AM.

In a statement, ODI said the dialogue is borne out of the urgent need for Okun sons and daughters to “come together, listen to one another, bridge our differences and build a stronger sense of unity.”

According to the organisers, the future of Okunland depends on collective action and a renewed commitment to the progress of the people.

“This is more than a gathering. It is an opportunity for Okun people to come together, share ideas, confront challenges and shape a common vision for a more united and prosperous Okunland,” the statement read.

ODI is inviting all sons and daughters of Okunland, regardless of political affiliation, profession, or location, to attend.

“Come as an Okun man. Come as an Okun woman. Leave your party at the door. Bring your love for Okunland inside,” the group urged.

The Okun Unity Dialogue 2026 is expected to feature conversations on security, economic empowerment, education, political representation, and cultural preservation as key pillars for the advancement of Okunland.

The initiative is being championed under the banner #OkunUnityDialogue #OkunUnity #OkunDevelopmentInitiative with the rallying call: “OKUN A GBE GHA O.”
