The Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Political Matters, Hon. Comrade Francis Obule, has congratulated the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, on his appointment as Director of Finance and Treasurer of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 Presidential Campaign Organisation.
Obule described the appointment as a landmark recognition of Governor Oborevwori’s exceptional leadership qualities, political sagacity, administrative competence and unwavering commitment to the development of Delta State and Nigeria at large.
In a congratulatory message made available to journalists, Obule said the appointment was not only a personal honour to Governor Oborevwori but also a historic recognition for Delta State and the entire South-South region, noting that the confidence reposed in the Governor by President Tinubu and the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was a clear demonstration of his growing influence and standing in national politics.
According to him, the elevation of Governor Oborevwori to such a sensitive national assignment is a strong endorsement of the Governor’s capacity for prudent financial management, accountability, strategic planning and effective leadership.
Obule said: “This appointment is a well-deserved recognition of His Excellency’s exceptional leadership, political maturity and remarkable achievements in Delta State.
“Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has consistently demonstrated that he possesses the political dexterity, administrative experience and capacity required to manage responsibilities of great magnitude. His appointment to oversee the finance architecture of the 2027 presidential campaign is therefore a fitting testimony to the confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC leadership have in him.”
The Governor’s political aide further noted that the appointment would provide another significant platform for Delta State to contribute meaningfully to the national political process, stressing that Oborevwori’s new responsibility would further strengthen the relationship between Delta State and the Federal Government.
He commended President Tinubu for recognising competence and experience in the constitution of the campaign organisation, describing the choice of Governor Oborevwori as “a strategic decision that will undoubtedly add enormous value to the campaign structure.”
Obule expressed confidence that the Governor would bring his well-known attributes of diligence, resourcefulness, political inclusiveness and accountability to bear on the new assignment.
He also called on political leaders, stakeholders, supporters and people of Delta State to rally behind Governor Oborevwori as he takes on the additional national responsibility.
“On behalf of myself, my family and the political family of Delta State, I warmly congratulate our dear Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, on this well-deserved appointment.
“This is a moment of great pride for all Deltans. We are confident that His Excellency will justify the confidence reposed in him and deliver excellently in this important national assignment.
“I pray that God Almighty will continue to grant him wisdom, strength, good health and divine guidance as he carries the responsibility of contributing to the success of the 2027 presidential campaign,” Obule stated.
He added that Governor Oborevwori’s appointment was a further indication that Delta State is increasingly assuming a strategic position in Nigeria’s national political equation, urging Deltans to see the development as an opportunity to strengthen the state’s voice and influence at the national level.
Obule reaffirmed his loyalty and support for the Governor’s administration, describing Oborevwori as a leader whose “political capital, grassroots connection and administrative experience will be invaluable to the success of the national assignment.”
He wished the Governor a successful tenure in the new role and expressed optimism that his contribution would further advance the collective interests of Delta State, the South-South region and Nigeria as a whole.
